Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of Aurora Residents Directory. By using the site, you accept these rules. If you do not agree, please leave the site and do not use its pages, links, or search tools.

1. What Aurora Residents Directory Is

Aurora Residents Directory is a privately operated reference. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections connected with Aurora, Colorado. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with Aurora city offices, Adams, Arapahoe, or Douglas County, Colorado agencies, courts, libraries, archives, or other custodians.

2. Rules for Lawful Use

Use the site only for a lawful, ordinary purpose. You may not use it, or anything reached through it, to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
  • Make a decision regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation, security, or availability

Public availability is not permission to misuse personal information. Follow the restrictions attached to the originating office, record, portal, and applicable Colorado law.

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

Aurora Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as that term is defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. The pages, links, and sponsored tools do not provide a consumer report. Nothing returned by them may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. Outside Links and Tools

Official portals and outside services have their own terms, privacy policies, availability, prices, and data practices. This includes the Aurora public-records route, Arapahoe official records, Adams County records, Douglas recording, Colorado Judicial records guidance, and the Colorado vital-records route.

Aurora Residents Directory does not control an outside site's content, search result, fee, release decision, security, or handling of information entered there. Sponsored search tools are also independent third-party services.

5. No Warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made, express or implied, that the text is accurate, complete, current, suitable for a particular purpose, or free of errors. We also do not promise that an outside portal will remain online, accept a request, display a result, or return a correct record.

6. Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this site or an outside resource. That includes a decision, loss, cost, or dispute based on a record, link, search result, fee, delay, omission, or unavailable source.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operators of Aurora Residents Directory from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that arises from your misuse of the site, misuse of a record, violation of these terms, or violation of another person's rights.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, layout, and arrangement of this site are protected by copyright and other applicable rights. Linking to a page and quoting a brief excerpt with attribution is permitted. Republishing a full page, copying the layout, or systematically collecting the content is not permitted without written authorization.

9. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised by posting a new version on this page. Your continued use of Aurora Residents Directory after a revision is posted means you accept the updated terms. The date or wording of an outside custodian's rules remains controlled by that custodian.

10. Restricting Access

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms, attacks the site, abuses a search tool, scrapes content, or creates a security risk. Restriction may occur at the operators' discretion and without advance notice.

11. Colorado Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without applying its conflict-of-law rules. Record-access references should be read with the Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. §24-72-102 et seq., and the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act, C.R.S. §24-72-301 et seq., where those statutes apply to a custodian. Privacy references should be read with the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. §§6-1-1301 et seq., as described by the Colorado Attorney General. These references do not make this private site a government custodian.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed to the extent required, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

13. Questions About These Terms

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Questions about a deed, parcel, court file, voter record, vital record, or other public source should go to the named custodian instead.
